It's great that it bends at 90 degrees, but the light is brighter than I expected. Just something to keep in mind. I got it for using in bed at night, and it was bright enough to consider switching to another cable.

The cord is just a cord. It looks sturdy. There's a LED in the bent section. I didn't notice any smart indicators; it just lights up like a beacon, making it easier to find the end of the cord.
