The material is really okay. At first, when I placed the order, I was a bit unsure about the magnet's strength, but it seems to hold my phone—even with the case—pretty well. They even included a round metal disc, which I think I can stick onto my phone if the case doesn't support magnetic attachment. The TBN clip also seems to grip pretty securely. I’ll give it another try in the car later on.
