I bought the 6-liter one, and the power cord is pretty short at seventy centimeters and quite thin, but it gets a little warm after prolonged use. The bottom of the pot is really low, just a couple of centimeters off the table, so the surface gets a bit hot when boiling water. After boiling a pot of water, the bottom looks like that, and customer service mentioned something about it being aluminum oxide. Older brands have their reasons for not competing with newer ones.
