Durability: It is quite long-lasting; the one I bought last time lasted over three months, even though I usually just slip them on quickly, which is a bit more demanding on the material. Protection: It works great and feels very comfortable after application.

Stuck it on the heel of my boots, and it's pretty snug. Haven't worn them out yet, but because it's stuck where two pieces of material join, it came off quite easily when I first tried it on. Not sure if it'll stick better after a while.
