It warned me of passing vehicles & never missed one. On my Magene C560SE it displays passing vehicles on the left side of screen with orange arrows representing each vehicle. It will give a long chime to warn you of approaching vehicles & a short one to let you know that all approaching vehicles from behind have passed. I feel more confident passing parked trucks along the TMCR cycling route with the radar to help me check the lanes for vehicles approaching from behind. I’m very happy with my purchase. The radar comes with different visibility light modes that are easy to select by short presses of the power button.
