High performance ceramic grinding stone delivers a consistent grind. --Create your own delicious spice mixes. --To Adjust Grind: Turn bottom knob clockwise for Fine and counter-clockwise for Coarse. --Avoid dampness, do not grind over boiling pot. --Do not use cloves or anise as oils will destroy plastic. -For routine cleaning, simply grind some coarse salt. The salt will absorb residual oils and any aftertaste. To clean more thoroughly, remove ceramic cone. Clean with a stiff brush, or place cone in warm water, so residue dissolves.  -(NOTE: Let cone dry for at least 24 hours. Be sure it is completely dry before using again).
