Overall, this is still a logical replacement to my 4-year-old 9010. However, the cartridges used have totally changed only just after one generation of this model. This purchase became an expensive replacement as the 9010 failed even after prompted me to replace with new cartridges which I have spent >$150. \n\nI find the setup process too cumbersome, not sure why HP needs to do setup with connection to online and logging in. It should be a quick easy setup, and then the user can log in to do whatever registration later without need to be connected with printer at all.\n\nI encountered error during setup, need to do a hard shutdown by removing ac power since the screen hung, and then restart. Also, the wifi connection after starting up seems to take a while or even have to re-setup the wifi connection. I also found the wifi may not connect if start with powering up - not sure if this printer should not be powered down but left on at all times.\n\nThe HP Smart App seems working fine; but likely will be like 9010 before that ink level won’t be accurately displayed.\n\nAfter all these inconveniences, there isn’t any firmware upgrading required even though this model has been around for a while.\n
