The packaging was excellent, and the kit came with all the necessary components ready to use. The dosing ring has three magnetic alignment points, but one of the magnets was missing from the one I received, which made the suction not quite as strong. I tried the capsule version—its advantage is that it extracts flavors and aromas exceptionally well (clearly superior to the previous model from another brand I’ve been using). The downside is that it’s extremely difficult to remove the capsule; there’s no slot, so you have to carefully pry it out bit by bit. As for the ground coffee version, I gave it a quick try, and it does extract flavors and aromas nicely—but you’ll need to find the right grind size. The basket is very tight; once inserted, it can’t be removed at all. It would be great if it could be taken apart and replaced. I highly recommend this product! Be sure to collect coupons and coins, and wait for those good promotional periods when the price drops by almost half.
