The Rouge is ideal as an aperitif or in for a wide range of uses in cocktails. In the late 19th century, Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry won medals in Paris, London, St. Louis and Philadelphia and in 1932 earned Chambéry France's only Appellation d’ Origine for Vermouth. From Wine Spectator: "Dolin, the last of the Chambéry producers of France, makes dry vermouth that is citrusy and grapey, as well as a sweet and floral style. Its Rouge is notably less sugary-sweet than many of its Italian counterparts, with notes of dried fruit and honey."Volume : 75cLABV : 17.50%Origin : FranceDolin's red vermouth has a very long history, punctuated with many prizes and awards. It's unchanged recipe is one of our treasures. This vermouth has a lustrous coppery color, gentle aromas of fruit compote, of prunes and walnuts with grassy notes, tempered by spicy aromas like Szechwan pepper... then aromas of almond, citrus, pear and cinnamon with gingerbread, tobacco, oregano and hyssop notes. This very rich bouquet is tempered by a subtle bitter base wine. ABOUT DOLIN ? Dolin is among the few remaining independent producers of vermouth and the last producing Vermouth de Chambéry. Dolin continues to make the authentic product according to the principles which earned Chambéry France's only A.O. for vermouth back in 1932.
