 About the product 
 M.BusFull bus name Meater-bus (meter bus) is a widely used bus system for metering devices. it features minimal wiring, strong anti-interference capabilities, and self-powered bus operation. 
 Mb.Us.The bus is divided into master station and slave station equipment, which is a typical industrial bus. withThe rs485 bus is not compatible, so this conversion tool is needed for bus conversion. 
   
 Instructions before use 
 Mb.Us.A master station converter is a specialized bus master device characterized by a high idle bus voltage differential.Reach36V, users should pay special attention to security when using it. 
 Bus short circuit is strictly prohibited.  make sure that the bus is not shorted before connecting the converter. 
 When the overload indication occurs, the connection with the converter should be disconnected immediately.And disconnect the converter power supply.

 Note1: the power supply is recommended to be 12v dc. the power of the power supply should be determined according to the number of meters connected, and the power of the power supply is p=36 * is / 0.8; for example, if the output current of the mbus slave station is 100ma (approximately 60-80 slave stations), the required power of the power supply is 4.5w. 
 Note2: the maximum number of slave devices that can be connected depends on the idle current of the slave device. for example, if the slave device's idle current is 1.2ma, the maximum number of meters that can be connected is approximately 350 / 1.2 ≈ 290.

Recommended wiring sequence:1-> connect to the rs485 bus, 2-> connect to the power supply, 3-> connect to the mbus slave station. 
When the meter is first connected,The mbus master station's output current suddenly increases, so it will be judged that the slave station is sending a signal, and the rs485 may output data at this time. this process will last for a period of time, and the duration will vary depending on the number of meters connected. the full load output may last 3 to 8 seconds. during this period, the converter cannot perform normal digital interaction. this is the characteristic of the mbus bus and cannot be avoided. please be informed. 
Rs485 is a half-duplex bus. when idle, the converter is in receive mode. when the mbus master station receives data from a slave device, it actively switches to transmit mode to send the data, and then automatically switches back to receive mode. this switching time is no more than 5ms. users should be aware of the conversion time from transmit to receive mode of their own rs485 devices. if the conversion time is too long, incomplete reception may occur. 
The longer the mbus bus distance, the greater the signal reflection and signal interference, so it is recommended to use double-salary shielded wire.If there is serious interference (specifically manifested as garbled characters received by the rs485 bus), it is recommended to add a 3.6k (0.5w) resistor at the end of the bus to eliminate interference. 
The rs485 bus is also susceptible to signal interference, so we recommend using a double-shielded cable. if interference persists, please parallel a 120ω termination resistor between the a and b ports of the converter.Wiring diagram

Common problem 
Question 1:Indicator light abnormal 
Flash sale: disconnect power immediately and inspect.Whether mbus is short-circuited or overloaded. 
Off: check the converter power supply status. 
Question 2:Unable to properly copy and receive data. 
->check if the data frame conforms to the slave station specification. 
->check if the status indicator light is blinking slowly. 
->check whether the rs485 tool is switching slowly. 
Question 4:Originally.Reading is normal.Suddenly it's not possible anymore. 
Mbus bus is intermittently connected or a slave device is damaged, causing mbus bus anomalies. 
->power supply is abnormal. 
->the converter is abnormal. when the converter is at full load output, a good heat dissipation environment should be maintained. if it cannot be cooled for a long time, the equipment may be damaged. 
Question 5: none of the above answers can solve your problem.
