The new version isn't just more expensive but also less practical. For formula feeding, the basics are milk preparation, warming, and sterilization. Here's a plus: you can now choose an all-glass pot. Now onto the main issues—sterilization and drying. 1. After sterilization and drying, it automatically dries again after a while, making bottles really hot. The milk temperature is too high, and then it's cold by the time it's fed...it's inconvenient. 2. The sterilization chamber is plastic and has a smell, though customer service says it'll go away after some days! Wouldn't it stick to the silicone nipples? Not sure if I'd feed a baby with that. Regarding the all-in-one machine: 3. The same chamber is used for sterilization and warming, and you can only choose one? Can I sterilize first and then warm the milk? But the warm milk design is a bit much. Who needs a deep bucket to warm a bottle of milk? Hot water for milk prep usually comes from a kettle, who's getting water in the middle of the night to slowly warm milk? The traditional way is easier. 4. They've discontinued the old model, so you can't use the better material sterilizer and dryer. I'm only choosing milk prep and warming now.
