For large area, use the existing Pump Spray and massage scalp gently with fingers.For smaller area or area under hair, use the Extended Spray Tip and massage scalp gently with fingers. (to use the extended spray tip, pull the spray head out and replace it with extended spray tip.) Wash your hand afterwards.Do not exceed the maximum daily dose regardless of the size of the bald area. The maximum dose is 2ml per day. It is important that the recommended dosage is followed. Using an increased dose would increase the risk of side effects but not improve hair growth. Do not adjust dose without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. If you forget a dose of Growell, go back to your regular dosing schedule. If any of the following effects persist or are severe, consult your doctor.Side effects What can I do if I experience the side effect?Itchy or flaky scalp Stop using minoxidil if the redness or irritation continues. Other options include decreasing the dose or frequency of application of mi-noxidil. Alternatively, your doctor may prescribe some medications to treat the scalp irritation.Temporary hair loss (this may occur in the first 2-6 weeks of treatment) This hair loss is usually temporary. Stop using minoxidil if this continues for more than 2 months.Unwanted facial/body hair Avoid dripping the medication over the face and forehead, and/or decreasing the concentration of the minoxidil. If symptoms persist, do consult your doctor.Rarely, mi-noxidil can be absorbed through the skin and cause side effects.
