The primary function of a shaft seal (or oil seal) is to isolate lubricated components within a transmission system from the output components, preventing oil leakage. they are commonly used in...  A rotary shaft oil seal with a metal cage is a type of rotary shaft lip seal. the metal cage acts like the reinforcing steel in concrete, providing reinforcement and ensuring the oil seal... Maintains shape and tension. based on the type of cage, they can be categorized as internal cage oil seals, external cage oil seals, and exposed internal/external cage oil seals. oil seals are made using high-quality... Made of nitrile rubber and steel plate, it has stable quality and long service life. widely used in automobile, motorcycle crankshaft, camshaft, differential, shock absorber, Engine, axle, front and rear wheels, and other components.

  1. prevent sediment, dust, water vapor, etc. from invading the bearings from outside;
  2. restrict the leakage of lubricating oil in the bearing. the requirements for oil seals are that the dimensions (inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness) should comply with the regulations; they should have appropriate elasticity. It can properly lock the shaft and play a sealing role; it must be heat-resistant, abrasion resistant, have good strength, be resistant to media (oil or water, etc.), and have a long service life.   When using oil seals properly, you should pay attention to the following points: (1) the speed of the shaft due to design and structural reasons, high-speed shafts should use high-speed oil seals, and low-speed shafts should use low-speed oil seals. low-speed oil seals cannot be used on high-speed shafts, and vice versa. (2) when the ambient temperature is high, polypropylene ester, silicone, fluorine, or silicone-fluorine rubber should be selected. also, efforts should be made to reduce the oil temperature in the tank. when the operating temperature is too low, cold-resistant rubber should be used. (3) oil seals with average pressure have poor pressure-bearing capacity, and the oil seal will deform when the pressure is too high. pressure-resistant support rings or reinforced pressure-resistant oil seals should be used under conditions of excessive pressure. (4) excessive eccentricity during installation, where the oil seal and shaft don't align properly, will compromise its sealing performance, especially at high shaft speeds. if excessive eccentricity is a concern, consider using an "w" section oil seal. (5) the surface finish of the shaft directly affects the service life of the oil seal. that is, the higher the surface finish of the shaft, the longer the service life of the oil seal will be. (6) note that there should be a certain amount of lubricating oil on the lip of the oil seal. (7) pay special attention to prevent dust from penetrating into the oil seal.
