This red glutinous rice is top-notch, dry, plump, and super fresh. After soaking, it becomes soft and just the right amount of sticky, making it perfect for making zongzi. When cooked, it has a rich aroma and an excellent soft, chewy texture, with a light grainy fragrance. It's low in fat and nutritious, great for both sweet and savory zongzi, and my family loves it. The glutinous black rice grains are plump and round, with a shiny, dark color. The dried rice is clean and free of any broken grains or mold. Soaking it beforehand makes it easy to cook, and when making rice dumplings, it turns out soft, sticky, and fragrant. It pairs perfectly with sweet dates, red beans, and pork belly. After cooking, it has a nice sheen and pulls apart easily without being undercooked, revealing an enticing deep red inside, with a taste that's even more aromatic and chewy than white glutinous rice.
