I've only seen teapots with repairs in old tea houses before, and I always thought that was something only vintage pieces had. But when I got this tea set, I was immediately drawn to the repairs. The holes are perfectly made, and the brass pins fit snugly, feeling smooth to the touch. The few repaired spots are evenly spaced and arranged neatly, showcasing a skilled artisan's work instead of something churned out by a machine. The pale yellow of the Ru kiln matches beautifully with the brass pins, giving it a rustic yet charming look that really enhances the tea tray.

I used to have thin cups that made me wait almost ten minutes after pouring in tea before I could pick them up. This set of tea cups has thick walls; when I pour hot water in, the cup warms up nicely but isn't too hot to hold. I can comfortably rotate the cup and sip slowly, keeping my hands warm without any discomfort. The best part is that the rim is designed well, so my lips don’t feel burnt, and the tea is at the perfect drinking temperature. The Ruyao porcelain really stands out, keeping the tea warm without burning my hands. I'm really happy with this purchase!
