The gloves are okay at handling heat, but steam can still be a bit hot. When I first got them, they had a strong smell, almost overwhelming. I let them air out in the kitchen, and the next day, the kitchen smelled quite strong of plastic. It's been almost a month, and the gloves still have a bit of a smell. I don’t handle food, so those who do might want to think twice about these. They definitely have a strong scent! 😂
