When the engine reaches the speed required for the turbocharger to operate (that is, when the turbine rotates at more than 100k revolutions per minute), the turbocharger compresses the surrounding air, increasing the engine's intake volume and enhancing its power.    When we turn off the throttle, the throttle opening quickly decreases until it reaches a closed idle state, meaning that the engine no longer needs to intake air, or the air flow in the intake is obstructed at the throttle valve.But at this moment, the turbocharger has not stopped working! Due to inertia, the turbocharger is still rotating at a speed of over 100k revolutions per minute.Now you can imagine that the air at this moment is still being continuously compressed into the intake. If this high-pressure air in the intake cannot be promptly released, the pressure in the intake will rapidly increase, which could cause damage to the throttle valve or the intake to burst.    At this point, it is necessary to install a pressure relief device in the intake pipeline to release the excess high-pressure air compressed by the intake turbine.In fact, the pressure relief valve is a valve installed on the intake, used to control the boost pressure.The opening and closing of the pressure relief valve is controlled by the solenoid coil operated by the ECU (electronic control unit).The ECU will make judgments based on the pressure at the turbo outlet. Once the pressure exceeds the critical value, it will control the solenoid coil to either turn it on or off, thereby opening or closing the pressure relief valve.When the pressure relief valve is closed, it is based on ensuring sufficient intake pressure in the intake. When the valve is opened, it can release excess gas into the atmosphere, reducing the pressure in the intake duct and protecting the engine intake system.So the "squealing" sound we hear from modified cars is the sound of the pressure relief valve releasing air.        By adjusting the position of the heat sink, when the pressure-relief gas impacts the heat sink at high speed, it produces different pressure-relief sounds due to the varying frequencies. But in reality, pretending to have a pressure relief valve doesn't improve the car's performance; it's basically just for show and fun. The main reason for the original SQV to shut down is a product design issue, possibly due to the insufficient hardness of the spring in the pressure relief valve compared to the electronic throttle. The SQV pressure relief valve has a dual-valve pressure relief function, which ultimately determines the opening of the pressure relief valve based on the throttle opening angle. Since the 8th generation used cable-operated throttles, throttle opening and closing were linear. The filtered air entering and exiting the pressure relief valve was relatively direct. However, since the 9th generation used electronic throttles, there was a delay in the throttle opening and closing process due to the computer's filtration. Although this was brief, it was enough to affect the pressure applied to the spring inside the SQV.
