Osram | High Intensity Xenon Car Light Bulbs Set D1S D2S D3S D4S D5A D8S

The 2016 model Jetta comes with the original Hella 6 projector, a 25-watt Philips D5S bulb. I replaced it with a 35-watt Osram D5A bulb without any issues, and there were no error codes from the computer. The brightness seemed to improve a bit, though not significantly. The light color is noticeably more yellow than Philips. The light distribution is more even compared to Philips, with fewer shadows, though the bright spots are less pronounced. It's likely effective on rainy days. At night with street lamps and oncoming traffic, it feels like the lights aren't on, but without those distractions, visibility is good. The bulb lights up without any significant delay compared to Philips. It works fine for daytime flashing. I can't comment on the lifespan yet. Installing it myself was pretty easy; just be careful not to touch the bulb tube, and it should be fine.

After the change, the headlights stopped flickering and the brightness came back. Nice!
