SHANGYANFANG | Walnut Wood Tea Tray Stone 20x26cm

I live in Guangxi, and the humid weather every March and April is really intense; water even beads on the walls. My old solid wood tea tray used to swell and deform during this season, with some parts bulging and others caving in. This walnut and wujin stone combination is different. The wujin stone side isn't affected by moisture, and the walnut hasn't deformed at all; the whole tray surface looks just as it did before. I've been using it for over half a year, and the joints are still perfectly tight, with no cracking or arching. I use it every day now, and it gets smoother with use. Tea lovers in the south here should consider this; it's much less hassle than pure wood.

Some tea trays smell fine normally, but when you pour hot water on them, a smell comes out, probably from the glue or coating reacting to the heat. I took this tea tray set to the kitchen, boiled a kettle of water, and poured it directly onto the tray. I immediately sniffed it afterward, and there was still no strange smell. The walnut wood base, where it touched the hot water, also had no reaction. Only then did I feel confident using it for tea. Now, every day I warm up my teapot and cups right on the tray, and after half a month of use, I've never smelled anything weird. The black gallstone surface feels pretty smooth too, and the craftsmanship is definitely worth the price.
