They are not compatible and may damage the charger or battery.Physically Compatible Battery SizesThis charger fits the following cylindrical cell sizes:Li‑ion / IMR / LiFePO₄ series:26650, 21700, 20700, 18650, 18490, 18350, 17670, 17500, 16340 (RCR123), 14500, 10440Ni‑MH / Ni‑Cd series:AA, AAA, SC, C⚠️ Important – 21700 Battery CompatibilityThe Lii‑PD4 accepts only standard flat‑top 21700 cells (without any protection circuit or added button top).Flat‑top, unprotected 21700 → ✅ fits and charges normally.Button‑top 21700 or 21700 with a PCB protection board → ❌ cannot fit into the slot because the extra length or diameter exceeds the physical limit of the cradle.Please ensure you use only the correct 21700 format. Attempting to force a protected or button‑top cell may damage the battery or the charger.LCD Display – What Is Actually ShownEach of the four slots has its own independent display area showing:Real‑time charge percentage – continuously updated from 0% to 100% (the “%” icon flashes during active charging)Battery type – 1.2V Ni‑MH, 3.7V Li‑ion, 3.2V LiFePO₄, or 3.80V IMRInstant voltage (V)Accumulated capacity (mAh) – total charge delivered to the battery (this is not a discharge‑tested capacity)Elapsed charging time – the colon “:” flashes while timing is activeCurrent charge current – 0.5A, 1A, or 2AWhen charging is complete, the display shows “100%” and the word “End” appears in the lower‑right corner.If no battery is inserted in a slot, that slot shows “null” and the backlight turns off after 30 seconds of inactivity.Operation – Buttons and SettingsEach slot has its own Mode button (four buttons in total).After inserting a battery, the screen will flash the detected type:For 3.7V Li‑ion or 1.2V Ni‑MH, the charger recognises them automatically and begins charging after 5 seconds.For 3.2V LiFePO₄ or 3.80V IMR, you must short‑press the Mode button within 5 seconds to cycle to the correct voltage. The charger then locks the selection and starts after 5 seconds.During charging, the battery type cannot be changed – neither short‑press nor long‑press works. To change the battery type, you must disconnect the power and restart the charger.You can short‑press the Mode button at any time during charging to turn on the backlight temporarily.Charging Current – How It WorksThe Lii‑PD4 uses an intelligent automatic current distribution system.
