Mount Pleasant Mothervine Pinot Noir 2023 [JH 95] (Australia)

Pinot Noir at Mount Pleasant begins at Mothervine, planted by Maurice O'Shea in 1921 within the historic Old Hill vineyard in the Hunter Valley. It is Australia's oldest Pinot Noir vineyard and the source of MV6, the country's most sought-after Pinot Noir clone, and is recognised as the true birthplace of the variety in Australia. The history of Mount Pleasant is, in many ways, the history of modern Australian winemaking. Established in 1921 by Maurice O’Shea, a man of rare vision and uncompromising standards, ours is a story of exceptional vineyard sites, pioneering winemaking and a legacy that continues to define what Australian wine can be.
